The global challenges we are facing require a common vision, shared commitment and joint efforts. To that end, PRIMA is organizing a debate on possible solutions and strategies for the Euro-Med Initiatives and Programmes to be discussed collectively.
This PRIMA Workshop on “Synergies with EU and International Initiatives” will take place in Athens on 21-22 November. Specific attention will be given to adoption of innovation and alignment of research, as well as activities such as dissemination, scaling-up of R&I actions, capacity development and knowledge transfer. The workshop would be ideal to exchange best practices and lessons learned. The Workshop is hosted and promoted by the General Secretariat for Research & Technology (GSRT) of the Ministry of Development and Investment.
The overall objective of the PRIMA Programme is to build research and innovation capacities and to develop knowledge and common innovative solutions for agro-food systems and for integrated water provision and management in the Mediterranean area, to make those systems more environmentally and socially sustainable, climate resilient, efficient, and cost-effective, thus contributing also to water scarcity, food security, nutrition, health, well-being and migration problems upstream.
BBI JU Project Officer Paloma Mallorquin will speak at a roundtable on "Exchange of experiences and practices towards to the adoption of innovation" on 21 November.
